2) Mild Gas Smell?

SHUT OFF THE GAS VALVE

This gas valve is located adjacent to the tankless, usually in plain sight or within 3- feet, however, it might be closer or farther follow the flexible gas line to find it. 

Once you locate this valve:

1) turn to the left or right and only a quarter (1/4) turn till it stops this will be the shut off position.

2) You may also want to shut off the tankless gas control valve in addition.
